Tour Overview

Your travel to Beijing, China would not be complete without visit to the famous Great Wall. This private Beijing day tour leads you to not only the less-touristy Mutianyu Great Wall but also Summer Palace to bring you a highlight day during your Beijing stay. And you will also pay an outer visit to Bird Nest and Water Cube.

Tour Itinerary

AM: Hotel Pickup & Great Wall

Our guide and the driver will pick you up from your hotel at 8:00 (early at 7:00 in summer time or public holidays). The first stop is Mutianyu Great Wall in Huairou district. It will be a good chance to see the urban and suburban scenery of the Chinese capital. Mutianyu Great Wall is the most scenic part of Chinese Great Wall. It was built in the early Ming Dynasty at 1368 and stretches 5400 meters. 90% of the Mutianyu Great Wall is covered by vegetation. So in each season this part of the Great Wall will treat visitors with its unique scenery. The visiting time on Great Wall will be some 2 hours. If hiking is too much for you, cable car is available and optional.

Noon: Local Lunch

Lunch in a local restaurant.

PM: Olympic Venues & Summer Palace

On the way back to city area, we will make a stop at Water Cube and Bird Nest where you can pay an outer visit to the gyms which were especially built for 2008 Beijing Olympics. It would also be a great chance to take some great pictures.

Then continue driving back to city area, you will visit Summer Palace. It is the largest and best-preserved royal park in China for emperors’ entertainment with centralized architectural masterpieces. Finishing the tour, transfer to your hotel.
