9 Days Yunnan Adventure from Shangri-La to Yubeng

Drive to Shangri-La from Lijiang

Today you will arrive in Lijiang, meet your guide and driver at the airport/trian station, then drive to Shangri-La, visit Tibeten village on the way. Upon arrival Shangri-La, we will take you to visit
Giant Budda Temple
in ancient town. After that, transfer to the hotel and check in.

Drive to visit Feilaisi Temple in Deqin (315 kms)

Then make a tour of 
Feilaisi Temple
, first built in 1614A.D. The temple is right face the peaks of Meili Snow Mountain. Hence it become the best place to enjoy the amazing sunrise view of
Meili Mt
. On the way enjoy the landscape enjoyment terrace is set beside the highway the
Jingsha River
flows slowly to
Bengzilan
.  Continue to star your tour of 
Dongzhulin Monastery
, which was built in

Feilaisi-Xidang-Yubeng (500 kms)

Get up in time to see the
sunrise
view of the Mt. Kawagebo glacier, then drive for an hour to 
Xidang Village
 where you will begin your hike to
Yubeng Village
. Today’s hike will be strenuous – we will climb from 2,500 meters to over 3,500 meters at the pass – passing through beautiful, pristine alpine forest. Total distance for the day is 17 km, takes 6 hours. Stay overnight at the guesthouse

Visit Holy Waterfall

After breakfast we will hike to
Holy Waterfall
, from which Yubeng’s name originated. Buddhists comesto this area on pilgrimages circumambulate the waterfall 13 times with the belief. Then we will spend about 4hours back to Yubeng.

Visit Ice Lake

Walk for 3 hours from Yubeng Village to the“Camp”, then for another hour to the 
Ice Lake
. Eventually, hike back down to the base, and back to Yubeng.

Yubeng – Cizhong (115 kms)

Morning after breakfast, follow Yubeng River to ninong (2100 m). The scenery on both sides of the Strait is constantly changing, with snow capped peaks, lakes, and large coniferous forests with gorgeous colors. Then we will drive to
Cizhong village
. It borders Gongshan County of Nujiang Prefecture in the east and Cikatong Village in Xiaru Township in the west. It is connected to Badong Village i

Cizhong – Tacheng (182 kms)

Depart from the hotel, we will drive to Tacheng, on the way to visit the famous
Lisu village
in Tongle. The Susu people in Tongle village first lived in
Jinsha River Basin
, which is the border of Sichuan and Yunnan, and then gradually moved to Nujiang area in western Yunnan to settle down. Tongle village is the most primitive village in Yunnan. All the dwellings are made of wood, including til

Drive back to Lijiang (175 kms)

After the breakfast, visit

, which is known as the hometown of Yunnan
