Day 1: Arrival in Dubai

Marhaba! Welcome to Dubai. Arrive at Dubai International Airport (DXB). Transfer to your hotel. Dubai โ€” a city that has transformed from a modest fishing village to a global icon in just 50 years. Evening walk at Dubai Marina, a stunning canal city lined with futuristic skyscrapers and dotted with luxury yachts. The contrast of ultramodern architecture against the Arabian Gulf is your introduction to a city that defies expectations.

Day 2: Modern Dubai โ€” The Sky’s the Limit

  • Burj Khalifa “At the Top” โ€” Start your day at the world’s tallest building (828m, 163 floors). The high-speed elevator whisks you to the 124th/125th floor observation deck in 60 seconds. The panoramic views stretch from the Persian Gulf to the desert โ€” you can see the curvature of the Earth on clear days
  • Dubai Mall โ€” One of the world’s largest shopping destinations with over 1,200 retail outlets, the Dubai Aquarium (home to 33,000 aquatic animals including 400 sharks), an Olympic-sized ice rink, and a human waterfall
  • Palm Jumeirah โ€” The iconic palm-shaped artificial island visible from space. Drive along the trunk and crescent to Atlantis, The Palm. Photo stops at the stunning beachfront
  • Dubai Frame โ€” The 150m-tall golden picture frame in Zabeel Park. The glass-bottom sky deck offers contrasting views of “Old Dubai” to the north and “New Dubai” to the south
  • Dubai Fountain Show โ€” The world’s largest choreographed fountain system. 6,600 lights and 25 color projectors create a spectacle of water dancing 150m high to classical and Arabic music

Day 3: Old Dubai & Desert Safari

  • Al Fahidi Historical District (Bastakiya) โ€” Dubai’s oldest residential quarter, dating to the 1890s. The traditional wind-tower (barjeel) architecture โ€” an ingenious pre-electricity air conditioning system โ€” lines narrow lanes now housing art galleries and cafes. Visit the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding for a fascinating insight into Emirati culture
  • Dubai Museum (Al Fahidi Fort) โ€” Housed in Dubai’s oldest building (1787), the museum traces Dubai’s transformation from pearl-diving village to global city
  • Abra Ride on Dubai Creek โ€” Cross the historic creek on a traditional wooden abra for just 1 AED. Watch dhows loading goods bound for Iran and East Africa โ€” a centuries-old trade route still active today
  • Gold Souk & Spice Souk โ€” The Gold Souk’s window displays glitter with an estimated 10 tonnes of gold at any given time. The adjacent Spice Souk fills the air with cinnamon, cardamom, saffron, and dried rose petals
  • Desert Safari โ€” Late afternoon, your 4×4 arrives for the quintessential Dubai experience. Dune bashing across the rolling red sand dunes of the Lahbab Desert is thrilling. Activities at the Bedouin-style camp: camel ride, sandboarding, falcon interaction, henna painting, shisha, and a BBQ dinner with belly dancing, Tanoura dance, and fire shows under the desert stars

Day 4: Abu Dhabi โ€” The Capital of Culture

  • Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque โ€” One of the world’s most magnificent modern buildings. This architectural masterpiece features 82 white marble domes, over 1,000 columns inlaid with mother-of-pearl, seven 24-carat gold-plated Swarovski chandeliers, and the world’s largest hand-knotted carpet (5,700 sq meters, woven by 1,200 Iranian artisans over 2 years). The reflective pools amplify the mosque’s ethereal beauty. Open to non-Muslim visitors with modest dress
  • Louvre Abu Dhabi โ€” Jean Nouvel’s museum is a work of art itself, crowned by a 180m-wide, 7,500-tonne dome composed of 7,850 aluminum stars arranged in eight layers. Sunlight filtering through creates a mesmerizing “rain of light” effect. The collection traces human creativity from prehistoric tools to contemporary masterpieces, organized by theme rather than geography โ€” a universal museum in the truest sense
  • Qasr Al Watan โ€” The Presidential Palace, a working government building opened to the public, showcasing Arabian architectural splendor at its most opulent. The Great Hall’s 37m dome, the “Power of Words” installation, and the presidential gifts collection are extraordinary

Day 5: Sharjah โ€” The Cultural Capital or Beach Day

Option 1 โ€” Cultural Exploration:

  • Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization โ€” A world-class museum tracing 1,400 years of Islamic art, science, and culture. The astrolabe collection and the dome’s zodiac mosaic are highlights
  • Sharjah Arts Area โ€” A cluster of galleries and museums, including the Sharjah Art Museum with its significant collection of Arab art
  • Al Qasba & Al Noor Mosque โ€” The “Blue Mosque” of Sharjah, modeled on Istanbul’s Blue Mosque

Option 2 โ€” Relaxation:

  • Jumeirah Beach โ€” Spend the day on Dubai’s pristine white sand beaches with Burj Al Arab views. Optional water sports: jet skiing, parasailing, or flyboarding
  • La Mer Beachfront โ€” A trendy beachfront district with restaurants, shops, and water parks

Day 6: Modern Marvels & Farewell

  • Museum of the Future โ€” The “most beautiful building on Earth” (as described by many). The torus-shaped structure with its flowing Arabic calligraphy windows explores what the world could look like in 2071. The immersive exhibits on space travel, climate change, bioengineering, and AI are mind-expanding
  • Ain Dubai (Dubai Eye) โ€” The world’s largest observation wheel at 250m on Bluewaters Island. The 38-minute rotation offers spectacular coastal views
  • Afternoon Tea at Burj Al Arab (Optional) โ€” The iconic sail-shaped 7-star hotel. Experience high tea in the Skyview Bar 200m above the sea
  • Farewell Dinner Dhow Cruise โ€” A traditional wooden dhow transformed into a floating restaurant. Cruise Dubai Marina or Dubai Creek with a buffet dinner, live music, and the glittering skyline reflected in the water

Day 7: Departure

Free morning for last-minute shopping at the Dubai Mall’s Fashion Avenue or a visit to the Miracle Garden (seasonal, November-May) โ€” the world’s largest natural flower garden with 150 million flowers. Transfer to Dubai Airport. Ma’a salama โ€” you’ve experienced a city that proves human ambition has no limits!

Best Time to Visit

Peak Season (November-March): Pleasant temperatures (24-30ยฐC), perfect for outdoor activities and desert safaris. This is when Dubai is at its liveliest with the Dubai Shopping Festival (January) and Dubai Food Festival (February).
Shoulder (April, October): Warmer but still manageable. Hotel prices drop significantly. The desert is especially beautiful in the golden October light.
Summer (May-September): Very hot (40-48ยฐC) but everything is indoors and air-conditioned. Hotel prices are at their lowest, making this the budget season.
