Bangkok & Ancient Capitals 6 Days

Bangkok, Ayutthaya & Sukhothai — Thailand’s Imperial Heritage

Tour Overview

Trace the rise and fall of Thai kingdoms through three magnificent capital cities. This 6-day cultural deep-dive connects Bangkok (the current capital since 1782), Ayutthaya (the Siamese kingdom that dazzled European traders from 1351–1767), and Sukhothai (the original Thai capital founded in 1238, often called the cradle of Thai civilization).

For history lovers and culture enthusiasts, this journey reveals the artistic, architectural, and spiritual evolution of Thailand through its most important UNESCO-listed sites — all while enjoying the comforts of boutique hotels and the insights of expert cultural guides.

  • ◆ Walk through Sukhothai Historical Park at sunrise — the most photogenic moment
  • ◆ Visit Ayutthaya’s iconic Buddha head entwined in tree roots at Wat Mahathat
  • ◆ Cruise Bangkok’s khlongs (canals) to see the city’s traditional waterway life
  • ◆ Learn about Thai Buddhism through temple architecture across centuries
