Tour Overview
Embark on a 4-day, 3-night private tour in Zhangjiajie. This adventure allows you to explore the unique sandstone pillar landscapes, ancient caves, and thrilling skywalks. With comfortable accommodation, professional guiding, and convenient transportation, you’ll have an unforgettable experience in this natural wonderland.
Day 1: Arrival in Zhangjiajie
Upon arrival at Zhangjiajie airport or train station, your English – speaking guide will greet you and transfer you to your 4 – or 5 – star hotel. After checking in, you can take a stroll around the hotel area, get familiar with the local environment, or simply relax in your room.
Day 2: Zhangjiajie National Forest Park
Start your day with a hearty breakfast at the hotel. Then, head to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. Take the shuttle bus to the Bailong Elevator, the world’s tallest outdoor glass elevator. Ascend to Yuanjiajie Scenic Area, where you can witness the iconic Southern Sky Column, which inspired the floating mountains in “Avatar”. Walk along the paths, surrounded by the unique sandstone pillars and lush forests.
Next, transfer to Tianzi Mountain by shuttle bus. Enjoy the panoramic views of the countless sandstone peaks and deep valleys. After having lunch (at your own expense), take the cable car down the mountain and then another shuttle bus to the Ten – mile Natural Gallery. You can either walk or take a small train to appreciate the beautiful karst scenery along the way. Return to your hotel in the evening.
Day 3: Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon
After breakfast, drive to Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon. Walk through the One Line Sky, a narrow gorge with a sliver of sky above. Then, reach Shenquan Lake. You can choose to take a boat ride on the lake, enjoying the serene water and the surrounding cliffs. For the more adventurous, there’s the option to walk on the world – famous Glass Bridge, which offers a thrilling view of the deep canyon below. However, if you’re afraid of heights, you can skip the bridge and continue exploring other parts of the canyon. Return to the hotel after a full day of exploration.
Day 4: Tianmen Mountain and Departure
Have breakfast at the hotel and then head to Tianmen Mountain. Take the world’s longest cable car to the mountaintop. Walk on the glass – bottomed Sky Walk, which provides a breathtaking view of the abyss. Then, take an escalator to reach Tianmen Cave, a natural wonder. Admire the 999 steps leading up to the cave and the magnificent scenery around it. Take the escalator down and catch a shuttle bus to the parking lot. Your guide will transfer you to the airport or train station for your onward journey, concluding your wonderful Zhangjiajie tour.
