Huangshan (Yellow Mountain) is the most revered mountain in Chinese art and culture. For over 2,000 years, its granite peaks emerging from seas of clouds and ancient wind-twisted pines have inspired China's greatest painters and poets.

This 4-day tour lets you experience Huangshan at its most magical: sleep on the summit, watch the legendary sunrise, hike the dramatic West Sea Grand Canyon, and visit the UNESCO villages of Hongcun and Xidi.

Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1:

Arrival & Hongcun Village. Airport pickup. Visit Hongcun — 900-year-old UNESCO village with moon-shaped pond and horse-head gables. Setting for Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Sunset at Moon Pond. Hotel at Huangshan base.

Day 2:

Ascend Huangshan. Yungu cable car up. Visit Greeting Guest Pine (1,500 years old). Explore Beginning-to-Believe Peak. Bright Summit Peak (1,840m). Check into summit hotel. Sunset viewing. Early bedtime for sunrise!

Day 3:

Sunrise & West Sea Canyon. Pre-dawn: sunrise over a sea of clouds — the defining Huangshan experience. Breakfast, then hike the West Sea Grand Canyon — 2-3 hours of heart-stopping cliff trails. Descent by cable car. Evening: soak in natural hot springs.

Day 4:

Xidi Village & Departure. Morning: Xidi Ancient Village — another UNESCO gem, less visited. 600-year-old lanes, Hu family ancestral hall. Lunch of Huizhou cuisine. Afternoon transfer to airport/train.
